Introduction

Establishment

Qserve Qatar, is a Grade A Chartered Quantity Surveying Consultancy company established in 2010 to serve Qatar and is the third overseas branch of the parent company Qserve (Pvt.) Ltd., which was established in Sri Lanka in the year 1994, a country famed for its Quantity Surveying traditions.

Qserve Qatar was inaugurated with the intention of providing professional Quantity Surveying services and other related services such as Value management, Dispute Resolution, Claims Preparation and Management, Contract Administration, Risk Management and Carbon Accounting in the field of Construction to Clients, Consultants and Contractors.

Services provided by Qserve Qatar is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Qserve Qatar is also a registered practice, in association with Sri Lanka Institute of Quantity Surveyors (IQS.SL), and Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS), upholding the professional values espoused by the respective institutions. In addition, all our Principal and Senior Management are individual corporate members of one or all of the above institutions.

Qserve Qatar has a project portfolio with great diversity ranging from buildings to infrastructures, with Qatar Government and prestigious Private Clients.

Our Staff Strength

We are currently retaining over 80 technical staff in different levels of proficiency under our employment. We have our very own Outsource Unit in Sri Lanka allocated to Qatar office to ensure timely delivery of submissions. With proper coordination, this allows the Qatar team to work with more efficiency and deeper accuracy, giving clients more control and convenience over the delivery.

Qserve Parent History

Qserve was pioneered by Prof. Chitra Weddikkara who has the unique distinction of being a Chartered Architect, Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager. She also serves as an Expert Witness in the field of Dispute Resolution in Mediation, Arbitration and Adjudication. She is an Advisor/Member on Construction related Disputes in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SARRC) Region. She holds a Ph.D. in Law in the area of Dispute Resolution in the Construction Industry, experience in the Design and Implementation in the construction industry. She is in the advisory capacity of many Governmental boards and is a member of the Procurement Commission under the Constitutional Council of Sri-Lanka and a member of the Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA) to name a few.

Qserve is one of the earliest independent private practices in Quantity Surveying to be established in Sri Lanka. In addition to the two offices in Sri Lanka and the office in Qatar, Qserve further established overseas branch offices in India (Qserve Global India) and in Oman, Qserve Oman.

Qserve boasts of an extensive portfolio of successfully completed projects in Sri Lanka, The Republic of Maldives, India, Oman, United Arab Emirates (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Qatar, Hawaii, USA and Australia.

The scope of the projects have varied from complete Pre and Post Contract QS services, to partial services to outsource services.
